Bug Life cycle

After reporting a bug the bug is passing through a certain life cycle. This life cycle is initiated by the administrators of the project. If you are user of SONIVIS you a able to control the progress of bug processing.

The general process is illustrated in the figure on the right hand side. A bug’s life as we term it has the following states:

  1. New: Initial state - a new bug is described by SONIVIS user.
  2. Verified: This state is acquired once the bug is confirmed.
  3. Unconfirmed: This state is applied once the bug is not reproducible.
  4. Resolved: This state is used when the development with the bug is finished.
  5. Reopened: When the solution is not satisfactory.
  6. Closed: Final state - once the solution is verified and satisfactory.
